Description
Hot Tack Attachment for Brugger HSG Series
This HSG accessory lets you check the strength of a freshly made seal seam right after sealing, so Hot Tack behavior can be measured without a separate testing station. It attaches to any HSG, HSG-C, or HSG-CC machine and follows the DIN 55571-1 test method.
Highlights
- On-machine Hot Tack testing immediately after sealing
- Fits all HSG, HSG-C, and HSG-CC heat-sealing machines
- Meets the DIN 55571-1 Hot Tack test standard
- Interchangeable falling weights from 50 g to 425 g
- Optional Microsoft Access-based software for logging results
How It Works
Right after sealing, the two sealed samples drop onto a splitting wedge under a falling weight. The weight pulls the hot seal apart along the seam, and how far it splits reflects the material’s Hot Tack strength.
Once the drop is complete, you measure the length of seam that did not split and record it. Pairing this accessory with the Strip Cutter (STR) makes it faster to cut consistent test strips beforehand, and the whole test-to-result process only takes a few minutes.
